Haunua

On 24th - 25th of May all the year 9’s attended Haunua with their teachers and pair mentors who took great care of us all. There were a lot of hard courses we took in order to become independent and brave. Some students even had the fear of heights until they did the leap of faith course, some say it was terrifying and some say it was fun. The food was so delicious thanks to the staff it was healthy. We had Hot Dogs, Butter Chicken, Hot Chocolate, Popsicles, yummy Fruits and biscuits. I was super happy that the food was delicious even at breakfast 9PSA didn’t not end up doing the Confidence Course because of a power cut, we couldn’t have proper showers nor water will come out of the taps, but luckily there was a box filled with water from the staff which was a lucky call because it was very tiring but fun. Introduction to Government

  Does our school have a government?  Yes, our principal and other team members. There is one person in charge of all the schools. Who is the government  The government is a bunch of selected role models  What happens if you do not obey the rules? It is against the law so you’ll probably be sentenced in jail Does NZ have a government? Yes we do, and our prime minister (Jacinda Ardern) is part of the community Who is the boss? There is Who makes the rules? Everyone who is in the community of the government  What happens if you do not obey the rules? You are most likely to go in jail Is there a government who controls the whole world? NO. Who governs your household? My parents, they are responsible for all the food we eat and the main responsibility of theirs is to take care of all of us and to pay the bills and then we’ll take care of them as we get older.
